Company Profile
Design Innovation
Never one to stay still, Bailey has always been an innovator in
design. Whether it be through the introduction of new layouts or
the development of a new production concept we always strived to
provide our customers with products that represent the very best
in caravan design.
Series based product development **BAILEY
1st**
Bailey was the first UK manufacturer to break away from the old-fashioned
model year and realigned their production and sales years more closely
with the pattern of demand in today's market place. Now rather than
upgrading their models on a fixed date every twelve months, Bailey
is more responsive to customer demand and develops its products
as and when the market requires.
As a result the company has been able to adopt a more focussed
approach to product development, by majoring on one range at a time,
leading to more meaningful upgrades rather than purely cosmetic
changes.
Caravan of the Future
Bailey was chosen by The Caravan Club to produce a model based
on the winning entry from their Caravan of the Future - Design Concept
Competition. Involvement in this project has allowed us to push
the boundaries in terms of caravanning prototyping and construction
techniques. Of particular interest was the opportunity to work with
different shapes and materials in the build process.
The finished proto type took over 1000 man hours to construct and
the end result shows what, given the scope, the company is really
capable of producing.
Third Party Endorsements
Bailey's position as the UK's number one caravan brand is testimony
to the popularity of our products and the fact that the Bailey brand
has received more design endorsements from leading industry sources
than any other in recent years should come as no surprise.
However there is no substitute for 'putting your money where your
mouth is' and that is why we are proud to include many Senior Caravan
Writers, as well as the UK's most celebrated caravanner the Foreign
Secretary the Right Honourable Margaret Beckett MP, among our customers.
Tow Course Units
Both The Camping and Caravanning Club and The Caravan Club have
recently awarded Bailey the contract to supply their Tow Course
Caravan Fleets. Between them the two clubs ordered over forty specially
built units to be used on their Manoeuvring Courses at dedicated
training sectors throughout the UK. These courses provide caravanners
with practical towing experience and are designed to increase road
safety awareness.
