Floor and Chassis Section
The UKs first fully automated caravan floor manufacturing
plant is housed in this area. This state of the art machinery
has the capacity to produce one caravan floor every ten
minutes thus ensuring a continuous supply of product to
the main line.
Large Panels Section
The caravan side panels and ceilings are manufactured in
this section of the factory. All body shell panels are fully
bonded in a heated laminating press to provide extra strength
and durability. Once the large panels are completed they
are fed in to the main factory ready for assembly.
Trade Parts Centre
The Trade Parts Centre distributes over 500 orders a week
to the 80 plus Approved Service Agents throughout the UK
and EIRE. With modern caravans becoming increasingly sophisticated,
the number of production lines Bailey is required to stock
is approximately 4000 at any one time.

Production Line
The main factory building houses Europes first
fully mechanised caravan production line. This allows
fully automatic movement of caravans throughout the
assembly and commissioning processes, which maximises
production efficiency and ultimately will have a positive
impact on the final cost of the caravan.

Small Panels Section
This section of the factory produces the wooden panels which
make up the caravan furniture. Computer controlled equipment,
using specially designed programs, accurately reproduces
approximately 100 different shaped furniture panels for
each caravan.
Stores
Bailey has recently re-located its stores facility to a
larger 750sqm purpose built unit, increasing storage capacity
by 60% in the process. The company has also invested in
a state of the art racking system and goods handling equipment
to improve stock rotation efficiency.
Dispatch
Once a caravan has been built it is moved in to the dispatch
area, ready to be transported to the designated retailer.
Each caravan will be delivered to a retailer within forty-eight
hours of leaving the production line, ensuring all customers
receive a factory fresh product.
